Ha ha, this is a bit of a reach indeed, but I do know I don't want to be wherever his back is located!

Kings River near garnet dike, so called because the dike contains garnets. There’s a garnet mine nearby.
Now there is an obscure one, good thinking Jim!

That place keeps popping up on my bucket list of places in Oregon I have not visited. I love the color of the water in that creek.

Sorry, I just spent 5 min. commenting on everyone's images, only to have a security error derail that post. not going to do it again. SO I will sum it up by saying that there are a lot of very nice images posted here. Sorry for the cop out.
The color of the water does justice to the name of the creek.Nice tread and great shots everyone.

In my many trips to Rainier, I have not shot this falls. Need to put that on the list. Very interesting.

Like Sunbeam, you almost don;t pay attention to it because it is on the road, but I have a number of tight shots of it that are very nice. Definitely worth the 5 min. stop.

I stopped to look up these falls so I could add it to my list of places to stop - and then discovered that I have stopped there, took pictures, and used one of them for my Waterfall Wednesday in mid February calling it an unnamed waterfall set along Paradise Creek
Didn't know they had a name. I took a bunch more just up the creek from the roadway as well. Nice place in the fall.

Not certain what Don is up to these days. Jim and I had dinner with Don one night at PNW III in the fall of 2015.
