Sunol Spring

My favorite local park is the Sunol Regional Wilderness, about 15 miles from home. I went for a hike yesterday, checking out our rare green hills.

This was one scene I liked, with a nice oak, some good clouds, and a few flowers (NorCal style). Any thoughts are welcome.

Well, if you were going to ditch me in Carrizo Plains yesterday I guess a view like this was worth being ditched for.

Nice work with the angled hillside shot. Those often look great in person but can end up looking off when capturing them with the camera. I like this a lot. The flowers are a very nice addition and the clouds really help to make this.

Thanks Ben - I wasn't careful with halos since this is a single shot. I have a pretty good idea where it may have been introduced in my processing.

It was definitely the clouds that made me look for a composition! With this spot I was able to spend much more time hiking than driving. Carrizo would have been all driving. I wanted to be outside! I have a few more shots from yesterday that I want to spend some time with.

Didn't even cross my mind. The view immediately to the left isn't particularly attractive.
