snake river overlook

it was hazy in the tetons when i was there in early june. especially in the morning. i was driving around the park around noon time and the light suddenly got as good as it was going to get as a storm blew in over the mountains. and i just happened to be near snake river overlook.

and of course once i got it on the computer i realized the color wasn't great. mostly just green trees and really brown, muddy river which made the bottom look heavy. so i ended up with a super original photo shot at a place nobody has ever shot before and turned it b&w to make it even more unique. :p cause nobody's ever done this before.

i truly didn't intend to make this shot ever, it just sorta happened that way. but i do like it. it was storming by the time i made it to schwabachers, so i'm glad i didn't chance that short hike.

It’s really great Pepper! Now imagine how good it would have looked had you actually wanted to shoot it?

You scored big time, and I think Ansel would love this one too! I will be there in another 4 or 5 days and I will shoot this again...

The resulting image is quite nice. B&W sounds like a good call under the circumstances.
