Devastation - Dead tree standing

My friend and I, on a scouting trip, stumbled upon a hill devastated by fire. We took the shots although it was high noon. The following week, we returned at sun rise, these photos will be published under the name Devastation 2. Your comments, tips and critique are more than welcome.

I like the way the tree with leaves in the background are framed by the central tree. I like the background trees, but wish the one on the left were not there,.Maybe a tighter crop with some off both sides to lose the furthermost trees.

Interesting that the dead tree still has all of the branches both large and small intact with hardly a trace of the leaves. The charred bark and the ashes on the ground gives away the fate of the hillside. Nicely captured.

Hi Avi,

What an interesting subject to do a study on, I look forward to the next one.

As for this one, not sure it could be improved upon, I think you did a great job here.
