This is the next in the series from 10-11. This is after the sun was up, but being blocked by eastern clouds, the entire scene was in soft light. This allows the yellow aspen and orange phase oaks to start showing their color.

Again this is pretty subtle, but is important to what comes and may stand on it's own. I did desaturate the blue in the mountains per Jim's previous suggestion.

Thanks Jim, glad you like this view, I have sort of standardized on the comp here, but as clouds and light change, I expand or contract a bit. It's a place I like to start and then work my way back home with a few stops of opportunity.

Ben. I like it, but I prefer some of your other shots of this view. This one does not look as detailed to me. In the end, it's like asking me what ice cream flavor i like most. I like them all, but some i prefer just a little more.

I agree, my favorite is the one I posted today under the title Sunkist. I just printed a 16x45 at 450 PPI, and it came out very good. I will hang it after it drys for a day or two.
