Ana a little friend visiting my balcony rail to watch with me
Thank you BenThat first one is absolutely gorgeous.
ISO 100, @ 62mm f10 1/125Nice sunset. A bit on the soft side however - what shutter speed were you using when you were shooting on the ship? I would think that the decks would be at least slightly in motion most of the time compared with shooting on the land.
I would be willing to sacrifice an f/stop to get to 1/250 at a minimum. I would even consider 1/500 for shooting from a boat deck. The ship may feel stable but it's almost constantly in motion relative to the land you are shooting.ISO 100, @ 62mm f10 1/125
Price & lenses. All my lenses are DX so if i were to go D850, I would have to get rid of all my lenses as they won't do me much good on a full frame right? What a super cool sunset Darcy! And that’s so cool that got a friend to watch the sunset with you.
As for the D500, what’s your thought process for wanting that over the D850? If you are going to upgrade, I would really suggest going full frame. The difference in quality between a crop sensor and a full frame sensor is huge.
