I like the wider context in the first image but the details of the moon in the second one are definitely captivating.

Alan,
Thank you for your comments. I really like the detail that came out in the moon. When you blow it up in you see even details of the craters.

I sure like the detail in the moon. I remember shooting a similar shot there a few years back. It was fun to get into the right spot to get the moon in the right spot. TPE is a great help, but it still takes a little luck I think. Both are cool, not sure which is my favorite.

Did it seem to you that there was more clarity in this last full moon than at other times lately, Bob?
Doug,
The answer is yes. The shots at Ward Terrace and this one at Bell Rock seems to me to have greater clarity in the moon. Not sure why maybe the moon is closer to the earth right now or maybe there is no haze in the sky. What is you conclusion? If you blow it up to 100% you can see details in the moon craters that I have not seen before.

The only thing I can figure out is that it was an incredibly clear day. The recent rains must have washed all of the crap out of the atmosphere and it has been very calm lately so no new dust has ben wafted into the atmosphere.

Hey Doug,
That sounds good to me.
