Happy New Year!!! These two elegant terns are dancing, but not because it's a new year. They are pair-bonding... forming a close relationship with a courtship dance that results in mating, nesting and raising the chicks.

Very cool Terry. Birds in general can be so quick, they can sure be a challenge to capture.

This is exceptional. You nailed the trifecta of awesome bird photography, Ben!!! gorgeous light, flawless details, and a perfect bokeh!

This is a red-breasted nuthatch. BTW: There are four species of nuthatches in North America; the White-breasted Nuthatch, Red-breasted Nuthatch, Brown-headed and Pygmy Nuthatch.

These are all great, Jim. The first one are Northern pintails (4 males and a female) The second photo is a pintail drake, three is a stunning portrait of a black-necked stilt. And the last one is a dunlin.

this is an American coot. LOL... my wife want to get me a personalized license plate: focha vieja (Spanish for old coot)

Thanks for that Eric, I thought it was an Eurasian Wren mainly due to the habitat in which I spotted it. I’m finding birdwatching fascinating and as with photography another big learning curve.
