Nicely conceived and executed Jim. I like the execution and weighing a dead rose as if to see how much it weighs after the soul has left.

Looks like first class - for postage that is :D

I like that you arranged the scene with a dirty postal scale that almost makes it look like it's been sitting around since the rose was freshly picked and then maybe even longer.

Thank you Ben, this scale is from my Dads business. And after he passed on a few months ago I got this scale because I thought it was interesting.

Thank you Alan. As mentioned to Ben, this used to be my Dads, and his business entailed lots of dirt and dust and grime and grease at times. So I was careful to keep the scale dirty as I thought it added to it.

For reference, my Dads family business was an Electric Motor Repair shop. It was a place as kids we all grew up working in. This scale was used at times to weigh the copper being put back into a motor when it was rewound.

What a great, original idea. I would never have thought to leave the scale dirty, but it works so well with the faded rose...gives the scene a vintage vibe!
