Thank you very much Alan.Neat capture - you are quite right about them not sticking around for their portraits.
Thanks for that Ben.Fantastic capture here.
Thanks for that Jim. As usual I had lots more throwaways than keepers.This is really awesome! What a great capture and I can imagine just how hard was to get this little guy.
Thank you very much for including this image in the Daily Feature.Congrats on the Daily Featured Post Terry!
@Terry Farrow
Thank you for that Jameel. I chose it in preference to another with a plain background.Very nice Terry. Live how the background colors contrast with the dragonfly.
Thanks Jeff. Nothing better than finding a nice quiet spot by the river bank and wait with the camera set up.Nice! That IS a tough shoot. I watch their habits of returning to the same twig to rest and then do a circle and land there again. I set up on the twig and when they landed, pop. Plus, when their wings stop you will capture their nice textures and patterns.
Thank you for that Doug much appreciated.I know how hard these ae to capture. Congratulations on a well deserved Daily Featured Post, Terry.
What a great technique. I'm going to put this tip to good use next time I have the opportunity!Nice! That IS a tough shoot.
