Nice colors. It was feeling like Spring last week but now it's snowing like crazy and I don't think the temp got above freezing? Crazy temp swings.

    Original Route 66

Thanks all! Cochiti Pueblo gated off the road with the switchbacks a few years-ago. Part of the land belongs to the Pueblo but as I understand, the majority is Federal belonging to the Forest Dept. There was quite an uproar about it with all kinds of statements about lawsuits but while I...

    Original Route 66

This sign is on the old original route 66 when it went through Santa Fe. It was re-routed in 1937, bypassing the city. The old road leads to a steep grade with big switchbacks that then headed to Albq. It was a rough road and many of the early vehicles would make the climb in reverse as this...

    Curious Bull

Thanks Amy! I used a brush in an attempt to make an artistic border. I didn't crop the image but something seems to have gone awry as I applied the brush to all the sides, including the bottom but I don't see it now on the bottom section? Anyway, it was done with a brush in Photoshop.

    Curious Bull

Thanks Ben. He was young (still a lot more mass then me) and not at all aggressive but I don't know bout in another year or two? :)

    Curious Bull

You're right Alan, that fence is the border to the Galisteo Dam. The young bull likely belongs to Cochiti Pueblo, just a mile or two down. He shouldn't have been there but must have made an escape. And Thanks Jim. It was a fun image to goof around with.

    Curious Bull

Hiking the desert, had a curious cow come to see what I was doing. Took a few pictures of my new friend when I noticed some "additions" that this was no cow but a young bull.
