It is recommended that it is applied right after background extraction and neutralization, so very early in the process. No does not affect WBPP but could replace deconvolution and sharpening if that's part of your PI workflow.

It would depend on how much noise is in the image you are working on which always leads back to the amount of data acquired. In the pixel-peeping sense, I would say it's at the point where the speckling just disappears. I always like to leave some noise in my images otherwise I find it looks too...

There is an issue with Uploading Photos (attachjments). I am not sure what the problem is, and I am looking into it. You can still try to Create your Threads and Upload your Photos, but it is hanging up during the Upload.
