I've never seen this before. The tiny water droplets just above the horizon are picking up the sunset colors, making them appear to be tiny clouds!

Great capture! If those clouds were moving in my direction, I'd be packing up the tripod and running for the car!

Thanks Peter! I was expecting a bit more color from the foliage as this place is around 1600m elevation and 48 degrees North, but I was just there Wednesday - still too early I guess. The red hills were an unexpected surprise.

This photo was made just seconds before the heavens opened up and brought down the deluge upon the sinners (landscape photographers). We were glad to be traveling on paved roads that day!
