    A Double Rainbow.

I saw Jim's post with his double rainbow and it made me think of a couple of photos I took in the neighborhood so I thought I'd share them. My neighbor also asked me to get a photo with her windmill in it. So I thought I'd give it a shot as well.

    A Few Lightning Photos.

Getting storm photo's and lightning pictures is one of my favorite things to capture. Now that spring is here, I really start watching the radar and looking for storm. These are just a few I was able to snag this past week during the monsoon that hit Colorado.

    Pronghorn On My Morning Walk

Every morning I take my dogs out in the open space behind my house. It's about a mile and a half loop in the eastern plains of Colorado. I always try to take my camera with my 150-600mm with me. Sometimes it pays off. These pronghorn were not impressed with us.

    First Night with Skyguider.

I got out tonight with my new Skyguider tonight. It was about 25 degrees and I had to hurry before the moon came out. But I'm pretty happy for my first try. And shivering... This is 6 shots at 200mm ran through Starry Landscape Stacker. I blame Jim for this. Any suggestions would be greatly...

My Take on Mars and the Moon.

Here is my take on Mars sneaking behind the moon in December. I'm just going thought some older photos. I'd love some CC on the moon. Seems like it might be a little bright to me. Thanks.

    My Hike

Yesterday I went to a local state wildlife area in hopes of catching some eagles. There weren't too many eagles hanging around, but I think I had a good day. I walked just over 10 miles, so today will hurt. Look closely at that Kestrel in the tree. Lunch time.

    Golden or Immature Bald???

I've seen this eagle hanging around the hood a few times. It looks like a Golden to me. Especially considering it's size. It's HUGE. I've always thought of Bald Eagles as fishers. Considing I live out in the plains, I just assumed it's an Golden. But I suppose it could be an immature Bald as...

    Pronghorn In The Hood.

There have been quite a few pronghorn hanging around the neighborhood lately. Yesterday they were in my back yard. The two together were out in the open space behind my house while I was walking the dogs. Normally they are extremely skittish animals, so to have them 20 yards away was quite neat.

Moon Too Bright in Z6 FIXED!!!

Ok, this may seem kind of odd. I got a Z6 for Christmas and when I look through the viewfinder at the moon, it's completely blown out and has a hard time focusing. When it does focus, the photo is just fine, but it's just a white blob in the viewfinder and the screen. In my D850, what you see is...

    Frosty Day

I had pretty much given up on photography lately. I just really lost all motivation for it frankly. My wife got me a new mirrorless (Nikon Z6 II) for Christmas so I thought I'd get out and take a few photos. It's been quite dreary around here, but the snow can be quite pretty. This was taken in...

    Back Yard Milky Way

Well I waited to the end of August to try some Milky Way photo's. I went out behind the house and try this shot. The light pollution of Colorado Springs get worse and worse all the time. But I thought I'd share anyways.

    Old Bank In My Town

I was walking around downtown Elizabeth here in Colorado, and I've always liked this bank. I love the leaves on this photo. This was taken with my iphone, so I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

    The Old Farm House

So I'm stealing Jim's idea and hitting the local farm house. I have never really messed around with black and white. Also I have the creative eye of a sharp stick. So i'd love your thoughts on this. The fact that I took this sitting on my back porch is pretty convenient. So I will have lots of...

    The Water Tower

I've really been trying to get out and use my drone lately. I have accepted the fact that I can not (and never will be able to) compose a good landscape photo, but I'm going to keep trying. So the Kiowa water tower is about 10 minutes from me and I have been thinking about getting some shots...

    Another Attempt at Orion

Well tonight I went out with my Move Shoot Move tracker. This is definitely a new skill that I need a lot of work at. But I'm going to keep trying. At least it forced me to learn how to stack in Photoshop. This is 5 images that are 1 minute long @135mm and obviously cropped in. I have a long way...

    Abandoned House.

I took this morning while the clouds were burning off. Kind of nice to get such things sitting in a nice warm house. Taken with a DJI Mini 2.

    First Time Creating a Video.

So please be gentle. This is literally my first time trying to add music or do any sort of movie "editing". All done on my iphone. Yes the music is seriously cheesy.😂 But anyway, I thought this was kind of cool. I was out flying the DJI Mini 2 today and something caught my eye. Turns out it was...

    Pikes Peak Sunset This evening.

I got a new drone for Christmas and have been hoping for a good sunset. Well tonight I think I finally caught one. I'd love your thoughts and CC. This is actually a three shot bracket merged in LR.

    First Time With Tracker

My awesome wife got me a Move Shoot Move tracker for Christmas this year. I went out the other night to give it a shot. I can see there is certainly going to be a steep learning curve using it. I tried to set it up in the dark for the first time which was a huge mistake. It was also really cold...

My Conjunction and New Photo added I Like A Little More.

Well here's mine from tonight. Got some moons and some rings. I can't complain (too much) about that. I can't wait to see what y'all come up with. I added a photo that seems to have a little more detail in Saturn.
