I don't do high key much, but this foggy day lent itself to it, especially in B&W.

I'll post more on this trip later, but had to throw this up. Just got back from 3 wonderful days at Sand Point in Olympic NP. Foggy the whole time, but at least no smoke. Having this little family pass us as they foraged down the beach was for sure the highlight. Luckily I was carrying my tripod...

Here's a view looking south from Tomaree headlands in Shoal Bay, Australia. Shoal Bay is about a 3 hour drive North of Sydney and was a really nice area to just hang around the beach. I hiked up the trail to this peak well before sunrise, hoping to capture some stars. The skies were cloudier...

Taken at about 3:30am looking away from the rising sun. What caught my eye was the way the sand reflected the morning light when the waves receded back to the ocean. The contrast was interesting and the thought of a black and white landscape immediately came to mind.
