My friend John and I did our annual climb-ski on Mt. Baker yesterday. We had the Squak glacier to ourselves, but saw a few others on top who came up other routes. Neither of us were in great shape, so it took longer than usual - 12 hours car-car. I was too tired to shoot many pictures, and...
In another forum I read that you can now post commercial music to youtube that will get denied if it's a problem, so I've gone ahead with this little video.
I drove to a new location to fly my drone and catch the sunset over Lake Stevens last night. This pano includes the Olympics which are directly west, and Mt. Baker (dimly visible on the far right) to the north.

I hauled my DJI MP2 up Vesper Pk. in the Cascades yesterday. We thought it was going to be a mostly sunny day, but the mountains got socked in, we even got sprinkled on at the summit. I was disappointed with the light, but managed to get a few good shots. These are frame grabs from 4k video...
I was on a walk near my house when I saw some nice light on Whitehorse Mt. to the north. I hurried home, grabbed my tripod and long lens and got this shot. In this B&W version it's all the other layers that make the final result.
The morning fog complemented the sunrise above my house (drone view) this morning.

Yesterday I skied The Choke, a steep gully down the ridge from our normal descent. Snow was soft and sluffy, so I skied conservatively.
I'm in the bigger sun spot up from the center.

Brought my drone along for the first day of skiing Mt. Pilchuck this year. The snow is going fast and was a bit slushy/mushy but we still had fun. These frame grabs aren't perfectly sharp because I was using a 32 ND filter for the video.
My partner Jeff put together this little video of our day on Vesper Pk. in the central Cascades last week. I brought my drone, but didn't get much good video due to flat light. He uses a Go-Pro so shoots POV.
Drone panorama of Morning Star Peak's NW face in the Central Cascades. It was a joy to fly the drone over to check out this face in the afternoon light as we rested at a pass on our ski descent of nearby Vesper Pk. Years ago my partner Jeff (who was also with me this day) and I did the first ski...
Taken with my drone on a back-country ski tour of Vesper Pk. (the snowy peak on the far left).

I normally ski Vesper Pk. in the spring once the approach road has opened but I got an offer of a snowmobile ride yesterday that I couldn't turn down which made a winter climb feasible. I normally don't care for the damn things, but it sure made the 7 miles of road go fast!
We brought the drone...
Nice little winter hike to a nearby mountain lake. I've deleted the original video I posted after following Jim's advice. Here is the edit. Open full screen to view full HD.
