Happy New Year!! I know its still a couple days away but thought I would wish everyone a Happy New Year before I head to SW CO.
This was my commute to work this morning. It was such a beautiful morning. Last night when I saw the snow on the trees I knew I was basically goin to be rolling out...
Another favorite from fall... As much as I wanted a great sunrise/sunset with this view I was super excited about this view.
Moody vibes are sometimes the best! cc welcome
!
Hi, Some more from the lake! This taken in the morning when I photographed the tree.
This one is the same day but was there for sunset. Crazy how different they look form one another... I do have other fall photos and not all just from this lake! ha it was a fun day though!
Here are a few images from sunset last night. The forecast looked interesting and there were some great clouds in the sky, so I decided to explore the lower Flathead valley. I was hoping to find a good barn to use as a foreground, but that didn't materialize. I focused on the mountains and...
1. My main ski partner, Eric, enjoying our best day of back-country powder last year at Stevens Pass. We were lucky to have this whole area of the mountain to ourselves on this sunny day, felt like the good ole days when we started skiing here ~30 years ago.
2. Eric got this shot of me the...
After the incredible sunset Wednesday I kept the drone handy hoping for more. Pretty nice view from above my house this morning.

I went X-skiing up The Mountain Loop Hwy with my wife last week and had a great time. Fresh deep snow was heavy in the trees so it was a winter wonderland. I only had my iPhone 13 Pro, which did a great job as usual, but I really wished I'd brought a real camera.
After a few days of rain in the...
My buddy Gordy and I got his daughter Ann out on her biggest day of back-country skiing yet. It was also our first day of the season and perhaps the best ever with knee deep light powder and no rocks scrapping skis. She was worried she wouldn't be able to climb back out of the route we took, but...
Hi, The second to the last weekend of July I was in SW CO trying to capture some wildflowers. As it turned out It was hard for me to get anywhere this year due to monsoon, mudslides muddy slick roads etc...So I photographed what I could and I think I still came away with some great photos! This...
After Jim Fox's comments on my previous version of this in portrait orientation I went back and found this landscape zoomed in version and processed it today for a tighter view into the distant peaks.
I flew my drone from the end of the plowed road on Hwy 20 last week when I was up there to ski. This is looking back west to Diablo Lake, Colonial Pk. and Paul Bunyans Stump behind. 2 rows of 3 pano.
Highway 20 through the north Cascades isn't plowed in the winter so is gated and closed until later in the spring. I was skiing up there this week and got these on the way.

Might have been our last day of X-skiing up The Mountain Loop Highway. A bit of new snow made for good skiing and nice views of the misty mountains.

#1: Skiing down from the Paradise Glacier, Mt. Rainier. Not the best ski shot of the year, but I managed to capture my friend Silas in perfect position on his 70th B-day - my present to him.
#2: Another summer ski day at Mt. Rainier. My partner Eric got this one of me on a new descent for us...
I got this yesterday on a long slog breaking trail up the Deer Creek road off The Mountain Loop Hwy in WA.
I just processed this drone pano looking back down the valley that I'd skied up. The picture above was taken back down just around the corner. I was hoping for more sun breaks and a good...
