I spent one sunrise at Turret Arch, after deciding I didn't want to deal with the sketchy climb to shoot it through North Window. The sunrise was nice and the snow around the scene adds some texture. Any thoughts are welcome.

Yesterday I posted a color shot taken a bit later when the sunrise color was at it's best. Still gray at this point so a B&W conversion was in order. I think the lone kayak fisherman makes it.

The town of Elk on the Mendocino Coast has several nice viewpoints. I decided to try my luck at this point for sunrise yesterday. I would have liked to get closer to the edge, but it's fenced off. Still a nice scene. Any thoughts are welcome.

I am going to petition the National Park to change the name of the Badlands of South Dakota to be changed to the Goodlands instead. :) This is an area I have been visiting once or twice a year for the last few years, and it has always been good to me. :) It's always nice when the day starts...
