One morning, on the Dolomites, driving back to the hotel after our sunrise session we saw some incredible light hitting a distant peak. We just had the time to stop, take the camera out and take a couple of shots, and the light was gone. I almost never shoot handheld, but this is one of the very...
On this morning Ben did Rise and Shined well the rest of us, Alisa, Jeffrey and myself almost totally snoozed through sunrise. For Alisa and myself it was too many late nights with the stars as our excuse. Fortunately Alisa woke up right at sunrise and tapped on the window of my Jeep. We all...
Besides the famous peaks, the Dolomites feature many small lakes, surrounded by the mountains and all very atmospheric and inspiring - either thanks to the ubiquitous fog, or because of the reflections they create - or both, like here. This is Lake Dobbiaco before sunrise, 102 seconds of...
I just finished to process my 2019 pictures from my beloved Dolomites, and I decided to start sharing images with one of my favourite locations there. This is Passo Giau, a truly inspiring place offering many different compositions, photographed here at sunrise. 2.5 seconds exposure with my...
Sunrise at the Quiraing, a really enchanted place where trees can even grow horizontally, out of hillsides. An oldie from 2017, this is a 2 seconds long exposure taken on the Isle of Skye in Scotland with my then Leica SL, Voigtlander 15mm Super-Wide Heliar version III and Formatt-Hitech...
As landscape photographers, we love lighthouses and we love ruins. Being able to photograph both together is just special! Lighthouse & Abbey Ruins at Sunrise, a 181 seconds exposure taken in Brittany (France) with my Hasselblad X1D II, Hasselblad XCD 21mm and Formatt-Hitech Firecrest Ultra...
Well, a Poppy sunrise that is. After a long night of Milky Way and Deep Astro shooting, this sunrise was a welcome gift. The Poppies are still closed because the sun isn't up yet, but I still think they look cool as when they are closed up they look like orange tulips to me. :)
This was taken...
Couldn't think of a more creative or fitting name for this one from the other morning. Some nice views around here, it's a bit more open than the valley we were living in previously. C&C welcome.

I like catching dewdrops in macro when the sun turns them into beautiful bokeh...this is another from the plateau. What do you think? C&C welcome.

The cat keeps waking me up at 5am and then I can't go back to sleep. So I take pictures! These are taken from the skylight window in our bedroom.
#1 - Arbusigny village rooftops - I wasn't planning to do anything with this picture, but it's growing on me. I like the angles of the rooptops, not...
Looking like a pair of giant legs, Castro de Las Gaviotas is a truly imposing and impressive sea arch. 25 seconds of exposure at sunrise with my Hasselblad X1D, Hasselblad XCD 30mm and Formatt-Hitech Firecrest Ultra filters. I can't wait for us all to be able to travel again freely, and to go...
This is from a few weeks back in Joshua Tree National Park, it's Arch Rock. After a night of Deep Space photography with no clouds, there was just a slight bit of clouds along the horizon, not much at all but enough to give me hope for sunrise so I ran over to where Arch Rock is and got this...
Seljalandsfoss is just an amazing place to photograph, especially at sunrise when nobody is there and you have the place all for yourself. It's not easy to keep your filters clean, but the results are worth the pain. 2 seconds of exposure with my Hasselblad X1D, Hasselblad XCD 21mm and...
