4K monitors

I am looking to upgrade my primary monitor to 4K. I currently use a Dell 30" which has a resolution of 2560x1600. A couple of questions

1. Would a 27" 4K look better than the one I have or go for a 32" one?
2. What is good brand to get?
3. Should I consider a 5K one? These are lot more expensive, of course.

I currently have two monitor configuration (the other is a 22" @ 1080x1920) driven by an NVIDIA GTX 950. Would this suffice or would the switch entail an upgrade of the video card as well?

I don’t know much about 4K monitors, but in regards to your one question about the graphics card, you do want to check that it’s 4k capable.

The guy to ask is Rick Knepper He got me started on NEC monitors where I started with a 27 inch wide gamut about 12 years ago. I traded up to a 24 inch 4K about three years ago, also wide gamut with the NEC spectraview software and Xrite puck for calibration.

I wanted the smaller monitor to get a tighter dot pitch and more closely match prints. Rick likes the larger monitor and does not do much printing.

When you go 4K go bigger, I got a 27" 4K LG Ultra HD Display to hook up to my new MacBook Pro last year, which looks great, but my old eyes can't read text on it when set to 4k so I down res. I quite miss my old 30 in. and would shell out the $ for at least 30" if I were buying today.
