A Bowl of Trix

Trix cereal is full of different colored round cereal, it’s a fruity fun cereal. This view is looking down from about 300 feet.

I feel fortunate to get it. My Jeep is acting up again, this time it’s leaking anti-freeze. All the hoses look food, so maybe a freeze plug on the engine is leaking. Not sure, but I decided to wrap up my fall color shooting and head to Colorado and get some extensive work done on my Jeep.

So it’s a drag to head back, but a total surprise to find this hill. The middle to southern part of Minnesota is still mainly green except for the occasional yellow. But as I was passing through Northfield Minnesota, I saw the moon rising above the fall colors, so that was my first thought to capture, and then out of no where on the edge of town there was the multi colored hill. So I pulled off and took some photos of it. The sky was getting a bit darker, but I then pulled out the drone, because I still wanted to do more fall colors with the drone. I got it up and flying and to my further surprise it just wasn’t the trees on the side of the hill that had turned nice fall colors, there was a whole forest of trees behind that hill that I just couldn’t see from wherei had stopped.

It made for an exciting 30 minutes before it just got too dark for the drone. Sometimes, you just don’t know what’s over that hill…

Wow - it really does look like Trix. I had forgotten all about that cereal until seeing this. Cool colors.
Thanks Alan! With all of the grandkids I don’t get to forget any of the fun cereals.

I am thinking that maybe the low light played a part in some of the trees getting that purple cast to them.

That's quite a mix of color in a tight frame. I like the name, though I imagine a bite of the trees would be fibrous and bitter :)
