A Nice Fall Afternoon

From back in SW Colorado at the Dallas Divide, while I missed snow on the peaks I did like the late afternoon sun with the contrasts it then provided on the mountains. The few clouds floating lazily through the scene seemed to compliment everything well.

All comments are welcome,

Very nice color show - interesting how different the leaf change patterns are between the lower vegetation down in front with the reds and oranges vs. the yellows and green of the early aspen colors. Cool shot.

Thanks you guys!

Yeah, there is quite a difference between the scrub oak and the aspens and pines. It can make for some nice contrasts.

Wow. That is super special. I am going to have you tell me where to go for next fall shooting in my home state :) Or perhaps figure out a way to tag along!

This has great color and composition, and as Ben says, shows that we don't all have to hide our cameras just because it isn't the golden hour...

Jim nice composition and a great sky but, and this may just be a European view, for me the saturation is just too high. Much of the sky has 100% saturation and all of the foliage is beyond 50% approaching 80% at times. Although increased saturation gives punch all subtlety of colour and tone is lost in the process as posterization takes over but it is your image and your vision. Ken
