A Pinnacled Sunrise

Sunrise from this last weekend at Trona Pinnacles. The Super moon was not so super because of the clouds, but that meant we had a really sweet sunrise out there.

The cloud in the background is part of those famous Sierra Wave cloud formations. The cloud literally hung around in the sky for 6 to 8 hours, with almost no movement. Only after driving north the Alabama Hills and coming back hours later had the cloud finally moved more to the south of the sky.

Thanks Alan, it was a pretty cool sunrise. Pinnacles is a place that's not too far and I really need to get there more often.
