A road runs through it

That's a really great looking road image, good thinking on stopping.

I tend to get a bit Leary on water crossings too Ben. Unless I know it's only 1 to 2 feet deep, I will avoid it.

It looks like there are about 3 crossings of the Muddy. How far did you have to go back? In a week or so, I bet there will be lots of 4x4s going that way.

I used to like spring in Utah a lot better before the 4x4 crowd made it a spring break destination.... <sigh>

I found at least two crossings but for most the road ends at a four foot vertical or undercut bank into deep water. The one Jeffrey and I found might have been crossible but the shore mud was at least two feet deep so we passed

As well you should, deep mud is to my mind the worse obstacle

Here is an image from one of my trips. This was taken from the end of the road I was on. There are many side roads and I have not explored all of them

This is taken from the north side coming from Goblen Valley. Jeffrey and I were on the south side coming from Factory Butte

Got that right, Ben. I've been to both sides of the Muddy now, and never desired to cross that creek in my vehicle. I stand with my decision!
Jeffrey, wise call ! I would not venture either.

One one trip my rental Jeep tires were covered in mud cakes completely.
