This is a view of West Mitten, East Mitten, and Merrick Butte from an airplane.
Thanks, Bob. I'll bring a bunch of aerial images next time. This is spectacular Doug. Why didn't you not bring this last night?
Thanks, Ben.Great view
Thanks, Jim. Vivid reds and greens are telltale indicators of Fuji Velvia 50.Thanks for the great view! Love the greens - I take it this was back in the day shot on Velvia?
Thanks, Jameel. I love getting aerial views of the landscape. I learn so much more about the geology from up there than being confined to the ground.Incredible. What a view.
And you did this the hard way. These days the drones make this much easier. Thanks, Jameel. I love getting aerial views of the landscape. I learn so much more about the geology from up there than being confined to the ground.
Thanks, Alan. You can hire a pilot from the airport in Page, AZ and get aerial views of the Goosenecks, Lake Powell, Monument Valley, Marble Canyon,, Vermillion Cliffs Wilderness, north and south Coyote Buttes, etc.Wow - this scene looks really nice from up there. I am used to always looking up at these formations. I'd love to shoot this whole area from up there sometime.
I am always wishing I had drones at my disposal, Jameel when I was teaching my geology classes. That would have been spectacular. And you did this the hard way. These days the drones make this much easier.
Thanks, Sunny. The nice thing about an airplane is that you don't get hassled like you do with drones. It is a lot more expensive however.Douglas,
This is so awesome! I'm gonna have to look into this more next time i'm out there.
Thank you, Jm.This is super cool Doug! I like the little bit of shadows showing as they help give depth.
Sunny, let me know if you need information on anything.Douglas,
