Ha! My husband & I had an epic on Keeler Needle a few decades ago involving snow, rapelling a traversing pitch over verglas, a failed anchor (the back-up held, but I went from looking my husband in the face to looking at his feet in a nanosecond), stepping in a snowcap while wearing a pack that towered way over my head & sent me cartwheeling down the slope, way too much of a hydration drink that had a stimulant that mimicked altitude sickness so we kept drinking more.... ah, to be young again!I always like the Alabama Hills. I climbed Whitney in the 70's, nothing like you did up the front face, but it was a major deal for me.
Nice, Jim. It's easy to try to include too much there (usually the multitude of boulders). You have just enough to give the information that there are all those boulders, with the tallest one echoing Whitney.
