I am with Ben - this looks like late spring thaw time. There is no lake in the middle of the winter there

Love the feel of this. The reflection In ice adds nicely to the overall composition.
The hwy 123 is definitely closed from paradise all the way to 410 during winter.

Nice work, Jim. I really love the reflected trees in the clear water. It's great when realisation hits - however long we have to wait!
Ha ha, I guess I should have been more clear in my description. This was from July. It was summer. In SoCal everyone is in bikini's at the beach, I get up to Mt Rainier and everyone is still dressed like it's winter....I am with Ben - this looks like late spring thaw time. Ha ha, thanks Ben! It was July, the dead of summer in SoCal and I had thought everywhere else too, but I found out I was wrong.
