Alta Lakes, Star Trails 600 frames

I left my camera last night up at alta lakes (near telluride, co) to capture a 5.5 hour sequence of star trails, reflecting in the water. It was a little sketch leaving my camera around so many campers, but I hid it well enough in the bushes. I drove back up to retrieve it at 2:30am.

The colors came out great. Nice work! I get what you're saying about leaving your camera. I did that once while backpacking with nobody else around and it still scared me.

Incredible star show. I have seen unattended cameras along trails capturing scenes on a timer with no one in sight but I can really imagine doing this with my own equipment.

Although I'm not much of star-trail fan, I really like this!
For one, it's more unique and the interference patterns give it "first-contact" feel
