Alta Lakes, Star Trails 600 frames

I left my camera last night up at alta lakes (near telluride, co) to capture a 5.5 hour sequence of star trails, reflecting in the water. It was a little sketch leaving my camera around so many campers, but I hid it well enough in the bushes. I drove back up to retrieve it at 2:30am.
Thanks for looking!

Fantastic Tyler! Star trails don’t often look good to me, but this one is really great! Getting the star trails in the reflection is a great bonus!

The colors came out great. Nice work! I get what you're saying about leaving your camera. I did that once while backpacking with nobody else around and it still scared me.

Thanks Jim! That's what makes the world go round. I can't get enough star trails. It's such an experiment every time.

I agree with Jim, not into the trails normally, but this is special with the reflection.
Great to hear, thanks for commenting, Jim :)

That's amazing, psychedelic even.
Love your use of words, thank you

Haha, yea, it can be nerve wrenching leaving such expensive gear out like that! It is exciting though. Thank you

Incredible star show. I have seen unattended cameras along trails capturing scenes on a timer with no one in sight but I can really imagine doing this with my own equipment.

This is an exciting image, Tyler.
Thank you Douglas!

Very well executed, and the reflection is the real icing.
Thanks, Im happy that it wasn't all that windy that night.

Thats great you understand and know to leave them alone. I could only hope leaving it out there that others would do the same!

Although I'm not much of star-trail fan, I really like this!
For one, it's more unique and the interference patterns give it "first-contact" feel
