Antelope Valley Poppy Reserve - Part 3

These are from Antelope Valley Poppy Reserve in California last Friday. There are several trails that go through and around the preserve. This area is on the backside of the Reserve after the sun had started to pop out.

I went a little tighter on these as a change of pace, and went for more limited DOF to play around with that.

Nice pair of shots. I like the comp in each but the scene in the first one with the perched bird overlooking the floral expanse with a deeper DoF keeps my attention longer. Theres a lot to keep my eyes entertained in that frame.

Beautiful job on these, Jim. We just missed each other. Terryl and I left Friday morning and got back in Arizona this evening.
