Thanks everyone! I got around 500 pictures from that night. So lots of choosing to do.
It wasn't that cold, about - 16 celsius, so three degrees Fahrenheit, I suppose. Actually, I was sweating for most of the time

Wow Matti! That's every bit as insane as the forecast predicted. Sadly I was all the way down in California, so I was too low to capture it. If it would have just waited a week, I could capture it next week as I am working my way north now.
I will have to come back to this and see if I can pick a favorite.

Beautiful images. For 2 days my phone has been pinging with extreme Aurora warnings but we have had 100% cloud cover. However your images show me what I missed. Ken
