As the light show ended (horsetail).

I posted this picture on another thread here, so I figured I might as well share it on the landscape thread. This is, of course, Horsetail Falls from last year. I got some images I really liked. This was a longer esposure for cloud movement and was after the main show ended but I still liked how this one looked even with the falls fading.

Hey Stephen,

Yeah, the colors in the sky make up for the diminished coloring on Horsetail Falls. I like this nice tighter view. Ideally that one tree wouldn't be over the face of El Capitan, but it does blend into the face a bit and doesn't stick out horribly bad, perhaps because the face of El Capitan is darker as it got later? Overall, a very nice image.

I know you hate the tree. I blame my wife, who was with me. She did not want to climb up to a higher place I had found with a better viewpoint, so I had to settle for this one. The light show was amazing tho so I will live with the tree. :) Also, hearing my wife squeal with delight when the show started--wow, oh Wow! OMG!!--was worth it. :)
