No, not the pricey ski town in Colorado. This was across the road from where I camped along Curecanti Creek in central Colorado. The area had gotten closed off to ORVs, the old tracks nicely grown over with grass. Lots of beautiful spots to camp if you don't mind walking in -- I could see why people drove their vehicles up there to camp. Pretty much the only people going up this canyon were anglers. It was quiet, like in the "old days".

Thanks, Doug. We're certainly off to a great start. Time will tell if we get the brilliant colors of a long-simmering warm spell but with enough cool temperatures to boost the colors or if we get rain or heavy snow that puts an early end to it.
