Assynt has a series of distinctively shaped small mountains (2,000 to 3,000ft) that rise abruptly from the moorland. I was up long before dawn to walk to a small hill with a clear view of the mountains. Hoping for a calm and gentle sunrise but instead was greeted by a fierce and cold North Easterly with frequent rainy squalls. This series only shows the most Northern of the mountains. The dynamic range in all of my images was extreme and I am still exploring ways of processing them and this is my first attempt. Comments/ suggestion more than welcome. Ken
