Back-country Skiing Selfies

I took my DJI M2P drone along for another run on Mt. Pilchuck yesterday. This time I was solo and was quite happy with the active track performance. These are screen grabs from the 4K video which I shot without a ND filter so that I could get sharp stills.

I'm the red dot lower left of center, skiing The Gunsight Coulior off the summit. For this shot I had the drone hover and shoot instead of track.

Very cool Jim. As Ben referenced a helicopter, it wouldn’t only be that even 3 or 4 years ago photos like this would have been impossible without using a helicopter. Technology has definitely advanced in that realm.

Neat way to get footage of the mountain as well as your selfie. It's hard to ski and take pictures at the same time.
