back yard flowers

Out searching for bugs for the weekly contest , no such luck. So i tried these flowers. All C&C welcomed!!!

Thank you, it was planned that way. They are in a planter and I moved them to the desired lighting so I can darken the back ground and still get shadows.

I like the composition. Seems a bit muted on the color side.

I originally thought this was a garden shot in direct sunlight. Your reply describing the planter and being able to move it for controlled lighting changes my perspective on the result entirely.
