Bald Eagles

Jameel,

Nice shots! #1 is my favorite in terms of capture and comp - you don't see many bird shots in a square crop but I think this works nicely. Might be running a bit warm, but that could be the nice golden light of when you shot. I would consider dropping the oranges a little.

#2 looks slightly hot and maybe too pushed with clarity and sat.

#3 might need some masking clean-up around the eagle and your DOF seems to be a bit lacking compared to 1 and 2.

Overall very nice stuff and I dig #1 a whole lot!

Another vote for 1, and theses are immature baldies, as indicated by the white spots on the wings, probably one more year to full adult plumage.

Hey Jameel,

Pretty good work on these. I tried to pick favorites but they are all different enough that it’s hard. I have really only gotten to shoot Bald Eagles once and that was an awesome experience.

Great catch on no1 in particular, Jameel. I so love that gritty fixed expreassion of grim determination you so often see with eagles!
