Barnard 228 the Dark Wolf Nebula in LRGB

Barnard 228 or more commonly known as the Dark Wolf Nebula is part of the molecular cloud that lies in the southern constellation of Lupus some 500 light-years distant. A portion of the Milky Way runs through Lupus giving this image a high density of colourful stars.

Wow... Dark Wolf is a very appropriate name for this. It's funny, when I first started doing Deep Space Astro a couple of years ago and I saw this kind of clouds, I would do everything I could to try and process it away.... Funny how now I know what it is and I embrace it.

Thanks Jim ! There's a lot of this type of cloud and dust, interstellar medium I believe is the term for this, around Orion especially.
