Best of 2022

I had a super busy 2022. So much running back and forth between California and Colorado as I was having to help my daughter out with the grandkids constantly, I was alternating which state I was living in it seemed. :) But that of course gave me lot's of opportunities to photograph as I drove back and forth. I did only fill up 15 TB of Hard drives in 2022, so that was down from 20TB of hard drive space filled in 2021, but I think I have enough to pick some favorites. :)

Thanks Jim for all you do to make this site work so well. These are incredible images. Number 5 really caught my eye.

Thanks Trent! #5 is one of my favorites too. I found it by accident as I was just looking for a place to set up my Deep Space Astro gear for the night. When I spotted the teepee off to the side of the headquarters at the park, I realized I could have a 2 for one evening. Timelapses with the Milky Way and the Teepee, and then also setting up the Deep Space Astro.

Only 15TB in 2022? Turning into a slacker in your olde age 😁 How many images does that add up to and how could you ever even look at all of them?

Beautiful collection for this thread - my favorites are #3 and #8 although all of them are good images.

Wonderful set Jim, and thank you for all you do. 5, 8 and 10 drew my attention in the first pass. 5 is very nicely executed, 8 is just a classic coastal sunset and 10 is just beautiful. Happy New Year

A great set Jim, you have gotten so many great captures in these 2 states this past year, along with that fall trip to MN. It is extremely hard to whittle down this list, but I would say for me my favorites are #1, #3, #4, #8,and #10. Really great stuff!

Love your ground based images, and the others are out of this world! Great set Jim. I know you travelled like crazy last year (as usual). Do it again!

Yeah, I need to pick the pace back up this year! :)

I have lot's and lot's of totally skipped over folders of photos, I have always shot more then I can process. I enjoy the capture equally as much as the presentation, so even if I never get to process some of them, I had such joy in capturing them, sometimes that's just enough for me. Weird, probably...

Thank you Mike. And don't forget about South Dakota, Wyoming, Utah, Arizona, Nevada and New Mexico. I spent a lot of time in each of them too. I just go too many places to try and represent them in a Top 10 list. I would need a Top 25 maybe to get some of those into this. :)
