I don't know if these are my best but they are among my favorites! Happy New Year everyone!

#1 - A recent drone shot of the island I call home. Taken with my new Mavic 3 which blows away my previous drone

#2 - On the lakeshore of Lake Minnetonka; Late autumn sunset.

#3 - I could have filled my top 10 with images from my backpack trip in the back country of Glacier National Park with my son. The memories will be greater than the images.

#4 - Landscape Arch - Hopefully a composition seldom seen.

#5 - The Grand Canal in Venice Italy; the start of a wonderful trip to the Dolomite region.

#6 - The view of Cortina D'Ampezzo, Italy at the top of the gondola.

#7 - Another from GNP; this one a moody morning after the rain.

#8 - A classic winter scene on Lake Minnetonka with a lone fishing shack. In other places on the lake, there are villages of fishing shacks.

#9 - Ice crystals in the sky make for an other worldly view.

#10 - I was excited to find this composition of Split Rock Lighthouse I saw out of the corner of my eye. Hopefully a very original composition

What a set - #1, #2, #3, #6, and #7 all are quite special and memorable captures to my eye. So per your comments in #1 - what was your previous drone that has been eclipsed by the Mavic 3?

Thanks Mike! I had the Mavic 2 Pro. While it was a good drone for photography, the Mavic 3 beats it for low light and longer flight time. The sensor is noticeably better to my eye as well.

Interesting and diverse set of well done images. I have to go with 1, 3 and 5. I don't usually love drone images, but the shapes and colors in the first are very cool. I truly enjoyed your GNP stories and #3 shows the park well.

Hey Bob! What an awesome year you had! It sure was filled with great memories and photos. It's hard to pick favorites. But I will try. :)

My favorites are in this order, #7, 5 and then 3.

Thanks guys. It was an awesome year for sure. I retired this past April and it greatly helped my photography. Along the way, I tried new things, new places, new processes and had a blast. 2023 will hopefully be filled with more travel adventures starting with spending 3 weeks in Santa Barbara in February. Yes, @Jeffrey and @JimFox, I'll be looking to you for some inspirational locations!

Cheers!
