Bowling Ball Flow

I made a quick trip to Bowling Ball Beach last night, primarily hoping to do some night shooting but ended up with a fun sunset. This was from my favorite part of the evening. I had collapsed my tripod and when the waves receded I ran up to these rocks, quickly leveled and focused my camera, and snapped a frame before running back to dry land to get ready to do it again. So far I like the water motion in this one the best, with the flow of the receding water moving nicely around the rocks.

This was a 1s exposure at f/16. I was less concerned about the depth of field with that aperture than in trying to get a long enough exposure to show some movement. Any thoughts are welcome.

Very cool Kyle! I rarely shoot that low to the ground, but when I see images like this one of yours I remember that I should do it sometimes. You got some very nice water flow here, and some cool pastel colors in the clouds.

I really need to get back up to Bowling Ball Beach. If I am able to get up to the Redwoods for the Rhodies, I think I will try to stop by here also.
