Bristlecone Lunar Eclipse

Wow, good ones Tim!
Of course the eclipse looks so cool there in #1, with the trees reaching out to it. But I may like #2 even better, that's some really eerie lighting and look you have going on in it.
How far is the road open up there? The last I checked it was still closed lower down.

I thought the road up to the hill is still closed, you picked a great spot.

The road is easily passable up to a mile shy of Patriarch. There's a patch of snow just after the split between the road to White Mountain and Patriarch that makes driving to Patriarch Grove difficult. It should be melted out in a week or so with temperatures in the 60s.
