Bryce is certainly one of the most photogenic locations I have imaged.

Spent 7 days in August at the North Rim and 3 days at Bryce Canyon for the first time. I don't think I have ever photographed any place that is as photogenic as Bryce Canton. It was hard to take a bad picture. Wish I had more time. I am not always the quickest to get my images processed, just got these completed this week and still have fall in Colorado to process.

As I first arrived, drving from the North Rim Grand Canyon in the afternoon, I went straight to Inspiration Point. I had been staying a little ahead of a Monsoon storm that was on its way and I hoped I might get some nice storm shots.

Looking forward to coming again, as there are a number of overlooks, away from the "main" show, that look very promising for the Golden Hour shots. Finally finished up my processesing - here are a few exmaples.

Hey Craig,

Bryce is such a very cool place. And if you thought it was awesome in August, you need to make return visit in the winter! You add snow to the orange colors for contrast it that place even becomes more photogenic if that's possible.

My favorites are #2,3, 6 and 7. With perhaps both #6 and 7 being my most favorites. Nice job here on working the light too.

As for taking a while to process, I am in the same boat. With FocalWorld I have worked much harder to be a bit more timely, but I still have so many unprocessed photos from earlier in the year it's not funny.

Very nice set. Bryce has been one of my favorite places to shoot for decades now and I still find new ways to see the place each time I visit. I love the storms as a backdrop in the first two images but the light in #3 and #4 wins my eyes over for longer looks.

Thanks, sunset (#3) is a little more challenging at Bryce, as it sets behind the main overlooks.

Yes - but there can be some very interesting light just before the sun is off of the hoodoos and especially when shot from the trails below the rim. You need a hook in the sky to make a sunset shot work from the rim and you have that with clouds in #3. I have shot that view at sunset more than a handful of times but not with clouds as interesting as what you show in that one.

Gotta agree with you on the location, but I too want to return in winter like Jim says - beat the crowds and have the snow to contrast. This is an outstanding set for a first visit. You lucked out with nice clouds and worked them well. Each of these shots deserves individual attention, you might want to put 3 return spaces between each to separate them.
