Bryce

I left Escalante one morning last week to try to catch the fresh snow at Bryce. Escalante just had relatively brief, intense squalls (but enough to now want to be 20 miles down Hole In the Rock Rd in a slot canyon), but Bryce was supposed to have 4 inches of snow. Between the darkness & many slick patches on the road, I didn't get to Bryce in time for what another photographer told me was "truly magical", but I did catch the last of the sidelight. The paved pathways were super slick & I thought I hadn't packed microspikes with me (I found them in my little fanny pack 3 or 4 days later), so there was no hurrying to get set up, but I did manage to eke out a few shots.

I'm guessing that all those low clouds had lit up earlier in the morning......sigh.

Outstanding views Monika - I love Bryce with some snow in the scene and the atmospherics with the low clouds works really well.

Sorry to hear it could have been even better - sometimes I'd rather just shoot what's in front of me instead of wondering what might have been however. This set worked out quite well.

Yeah, I didn't press the other photographer as to what I missed as there was no point.

Bryce Canyon with snow, and especially fresh snow is just so cool. My favorite is #2 with those low clouds/fog. In #1, maybe clone out that one long thin grass that stretches out and reaches into the image pretty far. The other grasses blend in well down below.
