Buckskin Gulch, Northern Arizona

An interesting place to say the least. It was late spring. When we got in there the spring water runoff was about 2-3 inches deep in places and very cold. Later in the day it got up to 6-8 inches and very murky. Deep quicksand in laid in wait in many places. Good think none of us went in there alone.

Very interesting Tom. Yeah, sounds like going with someone there is a wise choice. I like what you got from there, it's cool with the water.

Wonderful image and what a name for a location "gulch" just sounds so strange I suppose becks, tarns, corries, lochs and lochans do to you. Ken

Congrats Tom, what an image!
Love the lines in the grain of the sandstone...There nothing like water on sandstone to get me excited.

Really nice, tom. The only time I've been there was from Wire Pass (just went up 2-3 miles & turned around) and it was bone dry!
