Here's some pics I took of a burrowing owl on Friday. I used a Canon 400mm f5.6 + Sigma MC-11 adapter + Sony A7Riii

Oh man! That is so cool. I had no idea they had burrowing owls out there, I may have to make a trip out there now.
And this one seems pretty smart! Instead of burrowing his own hole he is using a ready made old drainage pipe?
Both of these are cool, but I prefer #2 slightly because it doesn't have that OOF grass or reed running through it.

Nice shots of the owl. I wasn't aware they were amenable to repurposing other "burrows" for their homes until now.

Thanks for your comments guys, glad I ran into Jim Fox at Joshua Tree and that he invited me to join this forum. I do like the small group setting of this forum, instead of a facebook group where there are way too many people. I am just an amateur photographer, and have a full time day job, but I love to get out whenever I can.
