Castle Crag

My wife and I went for a walk today just before tonights snow and strong winds hit. We have had high pressure and Easterly winds for the last week and this brings us low temperatures and blue skies but increasingly mushy conditions. This is upper Borrowdale which despite the rural beauty is an industrial landscape with graphite, lead and copper mines and this is a slate quarry. Ken

Very cool Ken! I like the light in this, it's a really nice soft light. And your wife is adding some very nice context and scale to this.

What is she shooting with?

The scene has a very rural and serene look to it from this perspective with the cold misty/icy air. The pile of slate is the only hint there is another side to the area.

A Panasonic Lumix DMC LF1 or at least this is the European number. It is a nice little camera and takes good pictures in good light.
