Costa Rica Bird - the Quetzal

just got back from 2 weeks in the Coast Rica area - had a great time and we were lucky enough to see our main target bird the Quetzal - what a beautiful bird

Incredible color show in those feathers. Small wonder why it was the inspiration for the Feathered Serpent (Quetzalcoatl) of the Aztecs.
