Dawn this morning

Took several images this morning of the dawn hitting my local beach where I live. No crashing waves, just a gentle ebb and flow which took on the sun's warming colours.

Taken on my canon 6dmkII and 16-35L. I was using a graduated filter for these shots.

Love the water textures in the second one, but both of these are great

Very nice work with both of these. My favorite is the second one for the light and water textures.

Another nod for the second one. The light on the rock face brings out the textures.

I prefer the light in #2, but I'm struggling with a subject. The incoming water in #1 makes a better subject for my eye.

I like the second one for a couple reasons - the rock face is better exposed, there is a better angle for appreciating the light falling on that patch of green, and the little staggered rocks leading to the horizon in the distance are more defined. Sky colors are great, too. Nice job and beautiful spot!

Hey Graeme, what a cool little beach or cove you have there!

I like #1 the most except for one thing, the sky. The sky is nice in #1, but it's better in #2. But I like the incoming water look and the rocks on the cliff a lot in #1.

#2 though, makes for a very nice tranquil scene.
