Desert and Snow

Rare to have the DV dunes to yourself and 3 other people...it was my lucky day. Very few footsteps, peaceful.

Using the 70-200 on this one, hmm...I should go on that dune, so set the camera on timer to take shots every 1 min while I walked over to the dune...it was lot farther than I anticipated and took about an hour to get there....and almost same time to get bacck, did some more bracketed shots for the snow/mountain....and here we are.

Larger version here.

Sure took a long time to get this selfie 😁

This worked out quite well and a really nice contrast between the dunes and the snow capped peaks.

Tremendous image. I love the detail in the mountains behind the dune and as much as I usually prefer not having people in my shots your selfie really shows the scale.

Hey that's pretty cool Sunny. Normally there are 30 to 40 people running around there in the dunes, but where are they when you need them? It would have saved you a lot of hiking.

Kyle,
Thank you. Having that scale adds perspective to this one, i usually don't like being in my photos or others...but sometimes it works well.

That is true! But then i'll prolly have to spend that much time removing the feet etc from the dunes...
